The Marriage Supper
Revelation 19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and
give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb
is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
Our theme this time around is "The Marriage Supper of the Lamb". What
a glorious event this will be. Have we accepted the invitation? Do we
have the appropriate wedding garment? Will we be welcome at the
Master's table? Who is getting married? Lets dive into the details of
        this amazing "Marriage Supper".
First, lets talk about the invitation to the marriage supper. God has
given us all a choice. One choice is to deny God and believe we can
handle things without His help. The other choice is to willingly
commit our life and all that we are to Him and His promises. This
means death to our dreams and plans. Our focus in life will be to
please the God who formed us. To fall down and worship Him and to
glorify the Creator of everything that ever existed. Our goal in life
is to forsake the world and accept the free gift of salvation through
Jesus Christ to the glory of God the Father.
Matthew 10:32-33 Whosoever therefore shall confess
me before men, him will I confess also before my
Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall
deny me before men, him will I also deny before my
        Father which is in heaven.
John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned:
but he that believeth not is condemned already,
because he hath not believed in the name of the only
        begotten Son of God.
Matthew 11:28-30 Come unto me, all ye that labour
and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am
meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest
unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my
        burden is light.
Jesus has invited us to come to Him. We accept this invitation when we
confess our sins and believe that He is the only one that can save us.
Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through
faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift
of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Now, where did we put that wedding garment? No worries. We receive the
garment the moment we believe in Jesus Christ.
John 14:12-28 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He
that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he
        do also; and greater works than these shall he do;
because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye
shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the
Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall
ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will
pray the Father, and he shall give you another
        Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot
receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth
him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you,
        and shall be in you.
I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to
you. Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no
more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live
also. At that day ye shall know that I am in my
Father, and ye in me, and I in you. He that hath
my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that
loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of
my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest
        myself to him.
Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is
it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and
        not unto the world?
Jesus answered and said unto him,
If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my
Father will love him, and we will come unto him,
and make our abode with him. He that loveth me not
keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear
is not mine, but the Father's which sent me. These
things have I spoken unto you, being yet present
        with you.
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom
the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you
all things, and bring all things to your remembrance,
whatsoever I have said unto you. Peace I leave with
you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world
        giveth, give I unto you.
Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be
afraid. Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away,
and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would
rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for
my Father is greater than I.
When we accept Jesus Christ as our saviour, He prays to the Father in
our behalf. The Father then sends us the Comforter. The Holy Spirit
then comes to dwell in us. We have been given a new garment that
covers us with a robe of righteousness. If we have accepted Christ as
our saviour, God looks at us and sees His Son. We have been washed in
        the blood of Jesus Christ.
Without this "unique" wedding garment we will not be welcome at the
future "Marriage Supper" of the Lamb. The next scripture demonstrates
this tragedy in rejecting Jesus Christ.
Matthew 22:11-13 And when the king came in to see
the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a
wedding garment: And he saith unto him, Friend, how
camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment?
And he was speechless. Then said the king to the
servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away,
and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be
        weeping and gnashing of teeth.
The man did not have the appropriate attire. He was not welcome at the
Master's table. It is imperative that we believe in Jesus Christ before
we die, or the consequences are we will be cast into outer darkness! We
must have the Holy Spirit! We must be born again by the Spirit of God!
Now we come to the actual wedding. Who is getting married? Where is it
taking place? What's for dinner? Lets look to scripture for the answers.
Revelation 19:7-9 Let us be glad and rejoice, and
give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is
come, and his wife hath made herself ready. And to
her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine
linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the
righteousness of saints. And he saith unto me, Write,
Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage
supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are
        the true sayings of God.
Here we can clearly see the Lamb is the bridegroom, and the wife are
those that have been washed in the blood of Lamb. They have a wedding
garment that is clean and white. This is the robe of righteousness!
The Holy Spirit! The Comforter! The Robe of Righteousness!
The Marriage Supper of the Lamb is between Jesus Christ and all of his
followers that put their complete trust and confidence in Him alone!
Revelation 19:11-21 And I saw heaven opened, and
behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was
called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he
doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame
of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he
had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood:
and his name is called The Word of God. And the
armies which were in heaven followed him upon white
horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And
out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it
he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them
with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of
the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name
written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried
with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly
in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves
together unto the supper of the great God; That ye
may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains,
and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses,
and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all
men, both free and bond, both small and great.
And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and
their armies, gathered together to make war against
him that sat on the horse, and against his army. And
the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet
that wrought miracles before him, with which he
deceived them that had received the mark of the
beast, and them that worshipped his image. These
both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning
with brimstone. And the remnant were slain with the
sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword
proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were
        filled with their flesh.
What's for dinner you say? Those that thought they could wipe out all of
God's chosen people! Those that refused to repent! Those that would not
accept the free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord!
All the enemies of "The God of Israel" are what's for dinner!
God never goes back on his promises! He made an everlasting covenant
with the children of Israel. The Marriage Supper is the final Judgement
on planet earth against those that thought they could get away with
        wiping out Israel!
God promises Israel that His covenant with them is EVERLASTING! God will
never break his promises! Man will not prevail against God or His chosen!
Genesis 17:5-8 Neither shall thy name any more be
called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a
father of many nations have I made thee. And I will
make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations
of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.
And I will establish my covenant between me and
thee and thy seed after thee in their generations
for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee,
and to thy seed after thee. And I will give unto
thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein
thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for
an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.
Genesis 17:19 And God said, Sarah thy wife shall
bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his
name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with
him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed
        after him.
Genesis 28:12-15 And he dreamed, and behold a
ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it
reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God
ascending and descending on it. And, behold, the
Lord stood above it, and said, I am the Lord God
of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the
land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it,
and to thy seed; And thy seed shall be as the dust
of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the
west, and to the east, and to the north, and to
the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all
the families of the earth be blessed. And, behold,
I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places
whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into
this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have
done that which I have spoken to thee of.
Psalms 105:10-11 And confirmed the same unto Jacob
for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting
covenant: Saying, Unto thee will I give the land
of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance:
Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob inherited the everlasting promises of God.
Make no mistake. God is not mocked. He will fulfill all of his promises.
All the enemies of Israel will be destroyed, and the land will be given
        back to them.
There will be a honeymoon. I hope to see you there!
Revelation 3:12-13 Him that overcometh will I
make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he
shall go no more out: and I will write upon him
the name of my God, and the name of the city of my
God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out
of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him
my new name. He that hath an ear, let him hear
what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
Revelation 21:1-7 And I saw a new heaven and a
new earth: for the first heaven and the first
earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem,
coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a
bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great
voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle
of God is with men, and he will dwell with them,
and they shall be his people, and God himself
shall be with them, and be their God.
    And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes;
and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow,
nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain:
for the former things are passed away.
And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I
make all things new. And he said unto me, Write:
for these words are true and faithful. And he said
unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the
beginning and the end. I will give unto him that
is athirst of the fountain of the water of life
freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all
things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my
        son.
To God be all the glory forever and ever AMEN!
